Why do colleagues start behaving wierdly as soon as their wedding gets fixed?

guys behave as if Ranbir Kapoor ki shaadi ho rhj hai and girls behave as if Deepika Padukone ki shaadi ho rhi hai.

Lot of them also give wedding as a reason to why they should be promoted or given and not the work that they have delivered. they start irritating their colleagues too - entire episode is quite comical.
