Why basic pay is low in my offer letter?
Hi all, I received an offer letter from TCS and saw that basic pay is low and other components are high. Can anyone from TCS please check that the offer letter has no underlying scams in it? Please

No it’s definitely TCS as they keep the base salary as low as 12.5 % of the overall package. This way they think the people will get in hand. Right now you won’t have a problem but if you continue and go to a higher package u will loose too much money in tax

If i accept the offer letter and I don't join. Will TCS still hire me in future or they'll blacklist me?

Hi sir, received an offer from TCS and I found out that I was given grade C1 system engineer role despite having 3.2 years of experience. so should I consider this offer or reject it??? Currently Infosys my designation is associate consultant

What is your tech stack and yoe?

Basic salary is lesser in tcs across all levels.

They mentioned like this in my payslip. Will they reduce my salary as per their needs??

Hi bro, if I accept TCS offer and Complete the BGV process and I decided to not join TCS. Does this make me in eligible to join TCS in future?? Will they blacklist me forever if I don’t join post accepting and completing BGV

I meant base salary is low but personal allowance is very high

There are two ways to see it:
- More base salary, relatively less allowance —> more tax deduction —> Less In-hand (In case of hike, it’ll be at top of base salary)
- Less base salary, more allowance —> less tax deduction —> More in-hand (hike won’t be much as base will be less)
#Note: At any point in FY, TCS HR has the authority to make adjustments in your other components citing policy reasons, but they can’t do the same in base salary due to labour laws.

It's just for tax purpose
