Why are you still hopelessly working with TCS?

TCS is firing people left and right without any proper criteria. My assumption is that they are trying to fire people who got hired after Covid who have the higher salary which wasn’t the “usual norm” before Covid. They are also firing some experienced employees who maybe be C3B and above but only doing the minimum.

But what might be the reason for you to still work in TCS and not look for a job elsewhere? TCS doesn’t pay a hike which beats inflation, they don’t appreciate people who do the work, it’s all politics and boot licking. Why are you still staying here?

Because most of people working in tcs are do not have enough good skills to switch, because of mostly support project. On top of that Notice period is 90 days. People are in their comfort zone. There are many other reasons but these are major one.

If there don’t upskill and jump ship now, there will be more competition in future when more people get fired.

No, some of people working because there is no other good company in their area like ahmedabad

This is my weakness and I'm trying other but as of now they have limited work in this area. Hence, if any opportunity working in remote then I'm open.

The main reason is market is not that good now, if it picks speed post november then things would be different.

Oh I resigned from TCS two years ago, exactly when I completed 1 year in TCS. I couldn’t handle the politics and all the stupidity.

The main reason is the market is not good , in every company right now firing and less increment process happens .once market has been stable then no one stays here

I don't think market will be stable any more!!!!!

If you wait for the market to be stable, then you’ll have to wait forever. Market will never be fully stable.. something or the other will keep affecting it. There will be ups and downs.

Main reason is health insurance which older parents won't get a retail policy outside corporate group health insurance.

For me the reason is: I have my family in my hometown. My hometown has handful of companies. U have my parents who are 60+. I have my wife who works in my hometown and cannot get relocated due to her type of work
