Why are you in TCS?
I was thinking about this question lately why people are in TCS? Is it because they know they can't get into other better paying company or they got too much comfortable staying here. Or do people enjoy this toxic corporate politics here or do people enjoy going office to have an online call with their teammates? What's your motivation or say compulsion to stay in TCS?

It was a compulsion. The market was bad, After Graduating from college, I was jobless for 3 months. Couldn't get selected anywhere. Has Skill issues. No DSA skills, Only 2 Backend Projects. Gave TCS NQT as a last chance, Got selected for Ninja Profile. Now under ILP training, everyday while going to the office, I always regret not studying well during Engg. I don't like this place due to all the negativity around the company on the Internet. The training is mediocre, The trainer is as bad as my college professors.

I feel you bro. Just work on some good dev project and gain the knowledge in the relevant tech stacks. Then once you feel confident in those technologies try to move out of TCS, you'll definitely get a better option. It's fine to regret over not studying with proper focus in engg but its never too late to start it again. All the best

It has become more of the retirees paradise for those who are close to their saturation point(i mean retirement) after serving in multiple companies due to less work pressure and moreover the job security which are the main factors that attracts those in these cases..

I didn't have any offers back in April 2021 , so I joined TCS it's been 3.7 years since then I only cleared the digital exam and got a salary increase to 8 LPA, I had a discussion with my manager about the ITA promotion and he said he'll nominate me in this quarter. Let's see if I get the promotion or not but I'm gonna resign by December. And obviously Tlthere's not much work pressure in TCS that's the reason I have stayed for so long

I'll start with myself, I joined TCS back in 2021, it was peak lockdown and job crisis had just begun. I had 3 options out of them TCS was paying highest, so I did join it. Now I've realised it's not worth my effort and skills to stay here anymore, trying to get into another better company with better package.

For ease of switching in job roles. Within less than 3 years I moved from manual tester to Sr Data Engineer and now AI-Ops engineer hopefully someday Data Scientist.
Although I don't earn enough to sustain my livelihood and rely on my family for money, I hope to change that after enough experience and switching company

Recession hit saturated job market. Just getting some work experience for masters. I am not satisfied with the TCS ninja job that I landed as a fresher. Upskilling and studying for masters admission.

I got offer from TCS just before lockdown. Unfortunately IT was stand still on initial COVID days. So no counter offer and have to join here. Once I decided to move industry is going through one of the most bad times and technology shifting and cost cutting happening like anything

Although I am working hard and trying my best, and the work is good but pay is bad.
I sometimes fear that if I switch, i may not be able to handle the new workload 🤔.
Not that I am working any less here. Some days are extremely busy, some are fine and breathable.
I am happy with my technical work. Do it's not like i have an extremely easy or relaxed work here, still I feel what if i fail to prove myself in the new company. Although TCS isn't my first but it took me some time to prove myself to my current manager.
Infact I am also afraid of the higher workload that will come with the new switch.
What say ppl? Any tips for me ☹️??
