Why are South Bombay girls so elitist?

I once dated a girl from South Bombay, and let me tell you, the elitism is insane. We were at a nice cafe in Hiranandani, and she wouldn't stop bitching about the "chapri" folks that demean Bombay. Every conversation was just about exclusive clubs and foreign vacations. It was as if her worth depended on belittling other people below her. I tried talking about my modest upbringing, hoping to help her realize that people below her socio-economic strata can be self made too instead of relying on generational wealth, but she just laughed it off, saying, "You wouldn't understand the difference between us and them." It was clear: in South Bombay, wealth equals superiority, and everyone else is just background noise. That attitude? Absolutely toxic.

Exactly. This stereotyping is so misleading. Alot of sobo people are genuinely down to earth and nice as well. You will find toxic privileged people in the suburbs too. It's sad you had a not so great experience. Hope ul find someone to your liking sooner than later :)
