Why are most recruiters bimbos?

I have seen plenty men & women like this. Based on what I have seen across MNCs and startups I have worked in. In most recruiting teams less than 40 % are actively searching for the right candidates, and others are just mass mailing and dumping profiles and waiting for the lottery draw.

Let me start by asking who is a good recruiter? One of my leads (12 + years exp at the time I had just 3 yrs exp) corrected me by saying the one who and does what the stake holder wants. I was more focused on doing.
A lot of people get away by saying - "wow this is possible amazing idea". the doing part is mostly left to the few people who keep deligently sourcing and appropriating the right candidate for the right role. So the person saying the right things is mostly facing the stake holder and it appears they have done all the work. The one in the backend mostly leaves or stays stuck in the same role for a very long time. So the odds of doing honest work in recruiting often doesn't pay.

With basic prep (thanks to prep bros) and know how it is easy to bluff people(especially if the leadership is handsoff for many years), clear interviews, plus a lot(not all) people in HR get hired through contacts or pedigree.

Most recruiting managers are hands off (some even come from hr business partnering side) - not a complaint but my observation. it is hard to source at your level I get it but one can talk to people who source everyday but they like to be surrounded by people who tell them what they want to hear. I worked for a director who thought database ops(coding+infra involved) candidate for faang company is just a oracle dba, it was nightmare working with the person coz he thought why is this role not closing in two weeks.

Who hurt you?

Of course they are. Part of the reason of their obnoxious behaviour is the companies driving recruitment.
