Why are managers reluctant to release resources? I can understand that support projects struggle to find people interested in their projects but why is this true for development and devops projects? Are there not many candidates waiting on the bench to replace the released candidates? I am stuck in a project where my skills do not align with the project skills but my managers are reluctant to release me no matter how hard I try to convince them. Moreover, I was not even interviewed before getting hard locked. I just received an email about the hardlock and now I am supposed to work for them without any complaints.

Same happen with me even skills are not align put me in support L1 moreover I got challenged lock from 2 devs project but they are not releasing its so frustrating

You can ask for release after 1 year in project, min duration in 1 year in project and then you can raise comcern with manager and then with HR probably

Same happened with me. They hardlocked me in a support non coding project even after knowing that I have got training in Java for 6 months. I want to get rolled off so bad from this project

Atleast you got a development project…
