Why are Hiring Mangers so cold

I have been trying for a consulting position in the Metals and Mining industry for quite some time, given that I have about 4.5 years in the steel Industry. Every time a recruiter gets in touch take the details and just ghost me. I don't know what the issue is. At least be honest. I also have some interviews, prepared some sample PPTs as per given case study, but still no response or feedback from them. I am constantly following up but no response. This sucks a lot. And it is not that I am asking for a huge increase from my current salary, I have repeatedly said that it is negotiable. Don't Know what's gonna happen.

See

  • job postings get filled.
  • trump is applying tarrifs and what not which is creating uncertainty
  • lot of job applicants remain in queue. Which means no response for months until their existing candidate declines offer.

So many things happen.

Keep putting your best foot forward and don't worry about these headaches.

I know Man.
But a little clarity can be expected. No reply of several follow ups. Atleast communicate properly

Right. I am just sharing my learnings. I have learnt over time that don't worry over what we can't control.

Been there too! Cleared interview with 4 different companies and guess what! No offer letter.
Macroeconomic reason is real.

Just remember - During this uncertain time, better to hold your seat tight, let the dust settle and avoid rigorous follow ups.

Yeah I just give 2 follow up mail that too in a span of 2 weeks. If there is no reply, I consider that a gone case.

keep taking follow ups, you have nothing to lose.

4/5 HRs will ghost you.
3/4 of these will write on LinkedIn on how candidates decline offers on the last day.

It's just how life is. Just keep applying and interviewing without expectations and you'll be fine .

about to complete 3 mon NP in somedays, I have received multiple calls every days average 2-3 HR would ask for basic details which is already present in the naukri portal, only some of them revert back and i ignore them if they dont follow back with JD in mail, from few companies like tech Mahindra these dumbass HRs will keep spam call me asking me details and not process my profile or schedule any interview, these HR are low level associates, I give them limited basic info and tell them to mail me if they want any sensitive info on cold calls. It's a huge waste of time but gotta be polite until my NP as few HRs do proceed with rounds and we do get somewhere with that.

Facing same issue with my Deloitte HR. She's neither responding to my calls not to my mails, I have no idea whether I will get offer or not.

Exactly the same company I am talking about, especially all the Big 4s

Been there, still here, and I think there should be a law against these sorta fellas! Honestly after 5 months of trying I've started doubting myself and sorta lost hope.. if you don't get selected at least they can give feedback, so that you can do better next time.

Valid question. Unfortunately, whenever I have tried to give reasons. Candidate doesn't take it well and starts justifying how will still be able to learn and deliver. While it's not fair to not share feedback but not seeing anyone taking feedback as an input to improve

Yeah but no response, even after someone put in efforts to complete the assignment is not justified.

This happened with me also. I am also facing some turbulence from most of the recruiter
