Managers who started career in on-prem era with hardware restrictions are the best managers (genX),
Cloud native folks are softies in comparison.

Does gender really affect management style? Generation gap does affect but how does gender really play a role?

It does play a major role, understanding the sub-ordinates mental well-being, needs , priorities and willingness to collaborate also sharing the ideas as well problems openly

Genx are very difficult to work with. Compassion and empathy levels are generally low and traditional mindset. Having said that I have worked with one amazing Genx manager till last year. Previous ones and my current one are just too rigid.

How much of the results actually reflect skewness in distribution of sample data.

Most managers I suppose are Millennial Males, no? (28-40)

Most of the IT population is male though. At least when it comes to core tech roles and senior tech roles. Female population is higher in roles which are non tech at its core such as HR, finance, sales, product etc.
