Who all feel doing gym is crap?

I'm a lean person already lift 20 kgs weight occasionally at home along with strenuous badminton, but don't feel that lifting 50 - 100 kg weights makes any sense, and idk every person says do gym, wtf is this crap nowadays.

Going to gym is meaningless. There is nothing that Yoga, walking etc cannot solve. Going to gym is just to show off. Westerners didn't have the concept of yoga, so they invented gym to work out.

If we stop eating fast food, pizza, burger etc, this itself will make us more healthy,

Do any sport you enjoy. If you are into building muscle, getting in shape and feeling stronger, then strength training is a great option. There’s nothing wrong with going to the gym. I have been doing it almost daily for 5 years. It keeps me disciplined, helps me de-stress and balances out my work life.

At the end of the day, just pick something you enjoy. The gym is just one way to stay fit.

Gym is not just building body. I understand that people do it for that but that's not the addiction, the addiction is the release of aggression and stress.

Gym is one of the cheapest ways of being fit lol. If you cannot do 1hr of gym in your daily routine then it's embarassing

I never went to gym, but not because I feel it is meaningless but the fact that I have been grown up in such environment and place that my physical activity level were mostly high, diet was clean and with time I learn about nutrition and fitness. But for sure if you want to stay fit, go to the gym, take advices from professional. And to those who say it is meaningless “do some research”

People have confused “gym” as a fitness centre. Most gyms in India are suited to strength training/muscle building and is beneficial to people with a decent level of fitness who want to push heavy weights. But yes I agree, for general fitness, just go to a park (assuming there is any nearby nowadays lol).

The goal should be to build the muscle, whether you go to the gym or not is a personal choice. Increasing weights gradually will help improve strength and size. If you don't increase the weights, it will become stagnant after a while.

Gym alone wouldn’t suffice, you need yoga, run, any sport to survive. Gym and yoga would help you train to be able to play sport, run effectively; injury and pain free. Considering sedentary lifestyle we are living these days and fast foods (anything other than traditional food) we have these days, unlike our grandparents; it’s better to spend atleast 60min everyday to perform any kind of exercise. More than that is always beneficial.
