I recently got laid off from my Company (they are unfortunately shutting down all major operations apart from sales) I worked to improve the company culture - benefits, engagement, learning and dev, wellness, cross team and inter city collaboration. Now that im job hunting, Im finding it incredibly difficult to find roles where the title of "people and culture" justifies the job description that is followed. Most often, the JD is an operations role where you only work on managing employee data, help with recruitment etc.
So that brings me to the question - which are some of the startups that are truly looking to have a good culture and are open to hiring fresh talent?
