Which startup is a genuine original idea?

Unlike Flipkart, Zomato, Razorpay, which are essentially ripoffs, which startup is actually original ideas? Perfios? Udaan?

Perfios is not an Idea or something revolutionary. They fulfilled a market requirement when it was less competitive. Also the founders already had a successful exit.

Filling a requirement is still idea right

Ideas are cheap, execution is difficult.

I'd say that anyone captialising on India specific stuff like rapido (bike and auto taxis), organic rural stuff etc are prolly India specific original. Nothing life changing so far in india imo

Meesho - originally it was a re-selling platform not an ecommerce product. You can resell products with profit margins to your community of shoppers.

When it started, India didn't have any other reselling product. They existed in Indonesia and Singapore as Lazada, Shopee. Meesho even had a base of operation in Indonesia but they couldn't compete with Shopee so they shut down there.

As meesho started growing in re-selling business, other companies like Glowroad and Flipkart (Shopsy) tried to clone their business model. That's when they pivoted to a fullscale ecommerce.

Flipkart is not a ripoff. Flipkart's innovation lies in introducing 'cash on delivery'. It is the company which gave Indians enough trust to start ordering online as they could pay on receiving the product. Unlike the US, payments in India was not available in 2000s. What you are looking at is post UPI world of 2010s, Flipkart had already become dominant player before that.

Startups who made dhandas of redistribution from original Dukaandars and Traders will not survive if they are burning investors capital or using tax loop holes. All these will be ripped off when markets will tank 40%

My rant about the Startup Ecosystem in India

The US is the land of dreams because of primarily 2 reasons: enough talented folks willing to take big risks and enough risk-capital providers. Both these pillars for India have issues. Let me explain.

First, there are no true risk take...
