I mean productivity vise Leave on Wednesday would be the best, but people will then take another leave if a holiday comes on any day, so as to have a long weekend.

I think a continuous 4 day work week would be more appreciated, as you actually get to have a life outside of work on that weekend, rather than just recovering from the work stress.
