MacBook Air m1 - you could possibly get it for 75-80k. Best VFM machine out there

I have heard of massive performance issues with the M1 Air. Not sure if others have heard of it too.

It specially is bad in handling multiple tabs on chrome

That is true, if you open more than 15 tabs then it shows a slight glitch. Otherwise it’s a fine piece. I just got it for 73K. Also, if you have used a Mac Pro before then don’t buy M1 Air you will feel the power lag & slowness.

For my personal work, macbook air is good enough, I do get the urge to buy a pro to keep it relevant to any task (but it is overkill)

I agree for lost light work Air is good enough. But the 14 inch pro is just so damn beautiful

Air also has a better display than the 13” pro

Build a pc yourself. The gpu prices have come down. You can use windows + wsl2 for development and use it for gaming as well in case you're into gaming.

The availability of software is wider in windows. The only thing I really like about apple Mac is the build quality and memory management.

If you're not looking for work / video editing - Linux / Windows is better

fuck even if you are video editing windows is better, in terms of bang for the buck. you could get a specced out asf studio or gaming laptop that can do a lot more for this same price range.

None, can't game on any of them.

I'd get Asus Zephyrus G14.
