I read the Q wrong 👀 so voted incorrectly. Voted will save phone but will save laptop any day. Reason is simple - phone is likely to survive the fall. They are drop tested. Likely to have case and/or screen guard. Will cost less to replace screen in case it does bust. Can be used without losing functionality with small to medium cracked screen. Any external damage to the body doesn’t matter. Laptops are opposite end of these points.
