Which is the toughest part of applying to jobs?

Taking time out to study from faaast paced work

Surely a big hurdle, how do you currently manage it?

I fail first few and learn from them. Not the best wayđ

How do you customize the resume to JD? Isn't the resume meant to capture who you are?

I have a different view on this:
A resume is not only about who you are but which parts of you align with the job requirements.
It is a borderline ethical dilemma, whether to portray ourselves as who we are or "tweak" the resume to seem like the ideal candidate.
Honestly, it's just a job at the end of the day and I'd rather customize pay to my bills.

I'm definitely giving this a shot

Starting the interview prep

What's the challenge in starting prep? Can you share some specific points

- Mind feels like rusted ,attention span is fucked..
- Stepping out of comfort zone .
- working on support project so not confident on tech .

Dealing with talent acquisition folks. Legit the worst project managers I have ever come across. Work on google sheets. Manual processes. Miss out on so much information. Never update the candidate on time. Ignore follow ups.
And internally also they mess up royally. Have been asked so many times to shortlisted resumes as âsamajh nai a raha fit for the profileâ. Isnât that your only job? One of them forgot to tell the candidate he has been selected and we are rolling out the offer for a week. The candidate thought he was ghosted and left a bad review on glass door. Perfect profile too. No consequence for the TA.
