Which is easiest to offload to AI ?

Pls note I have mentioned offload, I believe it is impossible to remove people completely from software development and with time AI will become a better companion to every contributor but what percentage of work can company easily offload to AI from tech in each of these domains ?

I work as a full stack at a startup and I can say 80% of my code is coming from chat gpt/co pilot. I just have to structure my code in front end, design in backend that's it everything else is just chatgpt. I would say software development as a whole can be done very easily by AI.
People who say either one of back-end or frontend have not tried getting answers for the other one, Its actually insane how ai is able to solve both lf these things

Especially test cases, it writes too damn clean and to the point code (I use it for java spring boot)

My two cents is that AI is not actually intelligent. As shown by Gemini, it's highly dependent on the training data. Open AI used thousands of Kenyans to create high quality training data for years. AI will be in constant cat and mouse race behind innovation. If I create a new framework today and all devs stop uploading their code in public, there will be no AI to solve that framework.

To keep AI so called intelligent, you need to constantly create and feed it high quality data and it's not really feasible once devs start guarding their jobs.

I look at AI as regurgitator, a ever burning coal engine. Software building is not gonna die. We are going to make better and more complicated softwares. AI will help us as as better Google search.

Some jobs will definitely disappear. Especially email jobs and chart making stuffs but good thing about this industry is we can always reskill.

Try generating code with LLMs to add to a 20 year old legacy repository. You'll get your answer

Migrate what exactly? I've seen systems still running in COBOL which can't be migrated. People tried for years and gave up.

I tried using ChatGPT/Bard and I can only get it to do like 10-15% of the work at a better speed. Most of my day to day software work simply can't be done via AI right now.

Most of the things where it actually helps is just a fast tracked StackOverflow. Then I guess maybe it's just me.

Job profile: Backend engineering.

Same. I'm beginning to suspect that people who say AI does 80% of their work might just be doing noob stuff.

People doing noob and naive work fearing AI will eat their job, of course it will ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

AI fear mongering people are usually below 20LPA. Less money, less exciting work -> aI wILl eAt My JoB

All of the above. There are startups now working on creating the ideal co-founder that can do all of these along with marketing and copy writing as well.
