Trending @Infosys; Which is better option: Resign or serve Pip
I got NI rating in last cycle and now I am being put into Pip. I am in Dna unit where I don't have any experience. What option should I choose: Resign or serve Pip. If I resign then how much notice period I need to serve.

Resign officially 3 months notice period is there

Without accepting PIP ,we can resign and will serve 3 month official notice period right?

Yes officially it's 4 months but people are saying here because you're in PIP they will give 4 months salary and 1 month notice period you can confirm with HR and let me know also

Are they giving option to opt out?… one of my friend got call from HR. She said either go to PIP or opt out and get 4 months salary. Don’t you have opt out option?

When did ur frnd got a call from HR and what rating he or she got ?

This Tuesday I guess. He got NI rating but that too last which doesn’t have do with all this. Its just Infosys wants to lay off people

If you have any other offer letter, then resign. Otherwise no. The reason behind you may loose notice period payment. If you resign, they will immediately approve it and you will not get anything

How much notice period they will allow to serve

If you resign before taking opt out option or PIp they will just release you immediately. Why will they pay you for being on bench. If you are project you can still be there for full 3 months. But why would you do all this circus. Why not get the whole salary in advance, be immediately available for next job and prepare well in your free time at home. Again if you are in new project under a new manager you will be safe so take the PIP.

Definately u ll get a call from HR and wait untill. They will give you 4 months both casess better. Once it is PIP, it is difficult to survived in Infi. Better to move on.

I doubt if they will give 4 months salary.please negotiate harder if you opting for resign.Know your rights and dispute each and every thing which goes against you in HR discussion.

There is no scope of negotiation now. You only had some scope to deny your rating. That timeframe is closed. Now it’s pretty much on your manager whether he wants to save you or let you go, in past years folks have got some lousy PIp goals and managers give met expectations ratings at end of it and folks come out. But this year they are under pressure to put tough goals and chuck folks out . If you are thinking you have any rights you are dreaming in Lala land. It will just be one way communication and anything you say won’t matter much.

Lol, Lala land and while working with infy.
I am referring to resignation, notice period and notice pay negotiation here.
IMO One should not stay in infy even he/she survives PIP.PIP and NI will have longterm effects on your financial, because Managers(worthless) and HR(hopeless) are not here to help.

Will they pay 3 months salary at a time ?? ðŸ˜

Better to move on !

For opting any option how much timeline is there? What type of mail you are getting from HR side for this discussion?

Get a good offer in your hand and resign.
You have to serve Notice Period of 1 month and then they will release you.
This is the best you can do.
