Which is better for personal use: MacBook Air or MacBook Pro?
Considering 4-5 hours of daily software development, including learning app development (IOS and Android) and general tasks.
I have used both Mac Air and M3 Pro, If you are a Hardcore developer that needs very large amount of processing eg Docker having multiple large Images then should go with M3 Pro, but for normal Coding, Smooth IDE like IntelliJ, Android Dev, MacBook Air will perform smooth enough, but go with more than 8Gb memory (even if mac has Swap memory but 16 Gb will be more efficient).
Yeah, I am planning to buy a new macbook Air m4 with 16gb of ram. Is it sufficient as per my use case ? 3-4 casual programming for learning purposes and may be i use docker for some project.
Is any throttle issue because of fanless design?
Yes, Mac Air might be more than enough for ur usecase if its casual to moderate Programming. throttle or heat is not any issue, untill you are forcing system at extreme processing in a high temp environment.
I think mac air will be a little underpowered if you want to use system for development.
