I'm not an expert about banglore culture but In south India Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are sacred, and most hindus don't eat meat on these days. Wednesday and Sunday are the most culturally accepted days for consuming meat so maybe that's the reason

Any South State especially Tuesday,Saturday considers sacred people more people devote to God.

Each day is considered as some gods day. Like Monday - Lord Shiva Tuesday - Hanuman - strictly people avoid nonveg Wednesday - Lord Ganesha
Thursday - none Friday - goddess laxmi Saturday - lord Vishnu - strictly people avoid non veg.

Sunday - none.

People visit the respective temple's respective gods. People's beliefs to get more moksha visiting temple on those days.

So, people avoid non-veg on those days to visit temple.

Saturday being sacred and Thursday not is news to me. As. A tamil guy we consider Thursday very sacred (mainly for "guru bhagwan" and sai baba). And Saturdays are mostly acceptable to eat non veg

I think even among south the rules differ from state to state and region to region lol.
