Which Category Of Employees will be effected in this layoff .
I dont think c3 above will be released unless they are useless . We have more then 100+ opening in our project and client only prefer experienced engineer. For that we are struggling now to get experienced full stack developer .
Exactly the same in my project. Client specifically ask for 8+ of experience in my project . No one under 4+ years of experince is allowed in my account itself for past 5 years. I have personally took more than 100+ interview inside TCS to position 2 full stack developer to client.
May I know which technology they are recurting
We have 200+ opportunities but the client is not convinced with the skill set of associates who appear. Clients also has changed their selection criteria. C3A,C3B comes with high budgets & more expectations.
Yes this is big challenge also to add here client takes interview but it is not that much hard to crack still if you can not crack that then it is our fault

No matter C2, CeA,B OR C4. It is all about margins. Highly paid will be targer.
There are lot of TCS senior roles in hosrizontal teams like COE etc who are not directly billable to client but are allocated and critical as well. So billability alone is not the criteria
Allocated and billable category is for the C3 and above grade as of now but i hope maximum bench people who are not doing anything since months they will be affected otherwise those who genuinely want to work but in bench i hope they will get the project asap not get laid off
