Which bank for salaried account?

Hi, I'm a fresher. I want to know, are there any benefits of having a salaried account in a particular bank? If so, which ones do you suggest would be the best one. My office has a tie-up with HDFC bank.

Zero benefits. It's a basic banking product.

HDFC is as good as anything else.

How about IDFC?

Can we choose a bank for a salaried account ?

I thought it was in the hands of the employer and not at the hands of the employee.

Please clarify !

Usually they have tie-up with 2-3 banks, and you can decide which one you want your salary to be credited.

In case of Startup, you can take salary in existing savings account also, no need to even get another salary account, unless you need to use some feature.

Any bank is good bro. Don't think much. They give zero shit. You do the same.

I recently shifted to idfc coz I like their colour, it is that inconsequential

You can never go wrong with HDFC. If you travel a lot then they'd have decent credit cards after you cross a particular salary for you to get good cashback

But they stopped giving lifetime free credit card

Bdw any bank is good. Salary account as a product is out dated now. Do check with your HR though, sometimes they have an arrangement with the bank where they have a corporate account, as per this arrangement all salary accounts will be opened in that bank only. These are called mandate accounts. If there is no such policy, just update your existing account. Though I would suggest to take a feel of multiple banks during initial phase of your career and settle with the one which is good for you.
