I don't know about you, but once you find a good barber / stylist / hair couturier whose advice and output works for you - you never let go till you change location.

Most people continue with the same one for years if not decades.

Salon and stylist discovery is not a problem to solve imo.

Agreed! I found a female who made perfect eyebrows, no questions asked. I would travel to Delhi just to get them done.

Until obviously the budget overrun

I do like to explore new salons as well. How would they acquire customers otherwise :)

I've been going to the same barber for past 5 years now. He knows my order and specs.

When I visit home, I go to the same shop my dad goes to for the past 28 years. The owner is chill, knows our specs, and treats us like family.

Have you faced a long queue at the barber shop?

No, I visit mostly during non-peak days

There is a barber in almost every other street in India, maybe the one that suits you could be 5-10 mins walk / auto away. Why use an app for that? Itna lazy kyu? Also barber gives me breaking neighborhood news, free head massage and face wash :’)

Urban company is too expensive and somehow most of the barbers there are poorly skilled

Completely agree. I just don't like waiting at parlor and booking by phone call seems out dated :P Also I like to explore and try out new parlors as well :)

I use Urban clap. Good, on time service. Don’t need to head out in this heat and wait for your turn.

True, just that I don't like mess created after hair cutting at home

What i also hate about salons is them trying to sell their expensive products and services.
“Sir you hair is very dry” “Sir serum treatment kar lo” “Sir use this product, apka skin glow karega” Non-stop selling really annoys me. I try not to be rude but the same statements every time really pisses me off

This segment isn't much promising, neither working for Urban Company.

True, was exploring if there is a problem that should be solved.

Why would you need an app for that?

Some of the problems that I have faced:

  • Waiting time
  • Not sure about the new salon/parlour
  • Services that is offered by them except hair cutting/shaving
