Which AI sub are you using currently and how much are you spending on AI per month?
Share if you have any ideas for optimizing for costs / rate limits etc if you are buying it out of your own pocket.
If it's from your employer

Why would i buy anything out of pocket. Doesn't your company provide

Nope. We have the OG Microsoft 365 Copilot for work

For exploring outside of work
I get $2000/month in claude api credits from my company
Since you're asking free options :
-
Google gives its student subscription pack to almost anyone. So you'll get 1 year of Antigravity Pro for free.
-
There's GLM 5.1 it's probably the best cheapest model. I bought an year's sub for $36 when they had black friday.
-
Then there's qwen-cli with the new coder plus model , very good , super generous requests , 100 req/min if I'm not wrong. But yeah , it's Chinese model , so they'll train your data using it.
-
Then there's opencode which gives free Grok 4.20 if I'm not wrong , along with a couple of other models
-
There's an extension called kilocode which has a free premium model at any given month of the year . Whenever a new model comes they release first at kilocode for free for a couple of days or weeks

Interesting. 2k seems like a lot, do you ever hit limits on a 200$ plan? Or is it api based pricing? Also, can you use those credits outside of your work?
Also also, GLM hiked their prices by a lot since claude stopped openclaw, it's like 50$/q (compared to 27$ earlier) it's now not worth it.
Also also also, what are your thoughts on infosec people investigating vulnerabilities by checking how often claude can generate the same(vulnerable) code?

My employer runs hundreds of Data centers for the AI jobs. We own the fing GitHub copilot and half of OpenAI. And we have unlimited premium requests on any gdamn model. e.g. one of the models we use has a limit of 1M tokens.

Are you allowed to use claude code / codex apps?
I'm not talking about the models, I'm talking about the tools.
Also are you allowed to use these requests outside of work? I.e. is usage monitored

$20 claude monthly, can apply for higher

What does a business ops person do? How does claude help you?

We have everything for free. All premiums model's in copilot, Microsoft AI foundary, a lot of courses.

Copilot context window is limited right? Are you allowed to ask for claude?

I've all models for free from office I've reach the daily limit usage too, client provided the Copliot Enterprises sub which has all of the latest model but I'm yet to use opus 4.7

Copilot - 10 usd per month. Claude sonnet included

For those who pay for Claude subscription, have you tried Caveman?
