Which AI sub are you using currently and how much are you spending on AI per month?

Share if you have any ideas for optimizing for costs / rate limits etc if you are buying it out of your own pocket.

If it's from your employer

Since you're asking free options :

  1. Google gives its student subscription pack to almost anyone. So you'll get 1 year of Antigravity Pro for free.

  2. There's GLM 5.1 it's probably the best cheapest model. I bought an year's sub for $36 when they had black friday.

  3. Then there's qwen-cli with the new coder plus model , very good , super generous requests , 100 req/min if I'm not wrong. But yeah , it's Chinese model , so they'll train your data using it.

  4. Then there's opencode which gives free Grok 4.20 if I'm not wrong , along with a couple of other models

  5. There's an extension called kilocode which has a free premium model at any given month of the year . Whenever a new model comes they release first at kilocode for free for a couple of days or weeks

Interesting. 2k seems like a lot, do you ever hit limits on a 200$ plan? Or is it api based pricing? Also, can you use those credits outside of your work?

Also also, GLM hiked their prices by a lot since claude stopped openclaw, it's like 50$/q (compared to 27$ earlier) it's now not worth it.

Also also also, what are your thoughts on infosec people investigating vulnerabilities by checking how often claude can generate the same(vulnerable) code?

Are you allowed to use claude code / codex apps?

I'm not talking about the models, I'm talking about the tools.

Also are you allowed to use these requests outside of work? I.e. is usage monitored
