Where there is HardWork there is no Recognition!

Since the day 1 of my career, I have been constantly putting efforts and standing out in what I do. People hardly notice it, they just drop a mail saying thank you for the good work. And absolutely nothing above that. No idea if I should continue to do what I do, like I always did thinking I should give my best irrespective of anything. But when I see people around me getting all the recognition in the world even when they don’t deserve it, actually makes me think. Is it really fair??! Should I really do work like I used to do before??! At present I really lack self motivation! I’m in a place where I’m not sure what I need to do. I lack interest in work…

Your effort won’t be recognised if you do it proactively. If you showcase your effort in need of during escalation by volunteering to jump in and review then it will be, or if you get appreciation from clients which also needs to be intentionally shared with your manager and senior managers. Simply doing outstanding job will only give you more work. Do bare minimum as required, try to upskill and switch and be there when in need for better visibility. The Indian leadership don’t care what’s happening as long as the job is getting done, they start caring when there’s a stick starting to poke in the butt.

Yaa I've shown my effort by hacking my college wifi for internet in 1st year. My colleagues spread roumers that I ddos the college server. And ya at that time my college servers using intel pentium so it is obvious that even opening terminal will ddos the systme.
