Where did SPMs go?

LinkedIn has had a lot of SPM openings for some time compared to PMs/APMs. The proportion is reverse if what would be expected in my opinion. Am I missing something?

SPMs are simply starting out their independent business, afaik my circle is concerned. They are either switching to more hype-proof domain or simply starting out on their own.
