When was the first time you ate Sushi? How do you like it and why is it so expensive?

I tried it a few years back at a cafe in Kolkata, and I'm in love with it since then 😋❤️
I never tried the ones with raw fish/meat though. Always the ones with tempura inside.
The good ones are expensive, maybe because of rarity (now it's not rare). I have seen the recipes and find it not so difficult to be prepared 🤷🏻♀️.
If you're in Pune/Bangalore, you can try Sushi at Shizusan, YouMee, etc. Even the veg ones there are really delicious! 😋

That's really interesting, cause the last time I ate I did try it at Shizusan.. it was good but slightly pricier. Wonder if there is a sushi buffett anywhere..

I tried in Russia 15 years back. That was the first time I had seen sushi. I thought it was a green chutney n dipped it completely n ate it.
It was the most embarrassing moment lol.

Haha, I had a similar experience with Wasabi first time. Thankfully I didn't take a big bite. BTW how was your Russia visit? Must have been rare then to visit Russia?

10 years back i tasted 😋
There are many good joints are there especially for Sushi in Mumbai.
Budget friendly and expensive too.
Many places serving good buffet as well.

Not a big fan

Last year and it tasted like shit. The cost is just due to hype.

Where did you try it? And was it using anything raw or cooked?
