When did you last go through a problem without external input?

I've been observing something that concerns me about how we make decisions, think through problems & gain clarity in 2025 with the world becoming unpredictable, complicated each passing day. I'd like to understand if others are experiencing this too.

I notice many people (myself included) immediately reach for ChatGPT/Claude when stuck on a problem, Google/YT/Reddit for opinions before forming our own, and let algorithmic feeds shape what we think about. The instant availability of "answers" seems to be short circuiting the struggle phase where real insight emerges.

More troubling: I'm seeing friends make major life decisions based on Social Media Advice, Social proof and Peer Pressure rather than genuine self introspection. The ability to sit with uncertainty and work through confusion seems to be declining.

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who've noticed this shift in themselves and either embraced or resisted it. What are you doing differently? What's working?

Not looking for philosophical takes on whether this is "good" or "bad". I want to understand the actual behavioral patterns and their concrete impacts on your work and life decisions.

I do understand your concern but isn't this the best case like we'd hop thru books or articles and then form an Opinion but we ask AI agent to do for us.

I'd ask Chatgpt to seek information and then present in Tabular format based on my priority parameters and then make a decision.Do tell me if you see any flaw in this.

I've lost patience to sit with problems for longer->Less Insight.

Anyone wants to add if dopamine detox will help in rewiring this pattern.

Good point! Asking an AI works well but when it does agree to everything that we say, it can form an echo chamber around us. And even worse than that, outsourcing our thinking to AI models. What you are saying is the way we should be doing but not everyone isn't doing the way you mentioned!
