Trending @Accenture; When can I change the tax regime to new one

I have opted for the old tax regime, there is so much tax deduction happening. When can I change to a new tax regime.

Ideally. You should be able to do it when you are filing the ITR. This would change the deductions and if I'm not wrong, refund you the amount that was paid extra as TDS, as you chose Old Tax Regime earlier.

In the AllSec portal, I remember we had an email regarding tax regime selection around April and May's first fortnight. After that, it is only available for the next year, I think.
