I don’t understand why are ppl using whatsapp for work?
Some managers don't listen. Nobody can bell the cat. They want quick replies and WhatsApp is the place!
Whatsapp has LIST option where one can build “WORK” list and push all work contacts or build a “NON PERSONAL” list
Doesn't help. That's good only for grouping multiple chats. It can't create zones or environments. You can create a work list. But what OP is suggesting is inverse of that. Show everything except Work. And when in work, show only Work
Business ads are getting annoying day by day. I find it difficult to find my personal chats. Also there should be option to show dp only to selected people. I don't want my car mechanic to see my party picture. Or I don't want my investment agent to see my picture with Audi.
Yes Business ads have become a headache to find personal chats, that's why segregation is required.
And for DP you have the option to make it visible to selected contacts only or all contacts excluding a few from what I remember.
Is this an app issue or an OS issue? The app takes the frameworks that the OS provides and contact management is always on the OS
App Issue.
Two things are here:
- No work mode like option available or any segregation available for personal and work.
Some might say having two whatsapp numbers can be the solution but I think from the app side they can do better.
- Since few apps started communication for deliveries and other stuff via whatsapp, nowadays lots of people are getting more messages from such businesses than the personal ones and it becomes overwhelming many times.
This is how startups are born. Find a problem for the existing solutions.
Or a feature that opts whom to show you are on WhatsApp and whom to not even if the other person has your number.
