What's your portfolio asset allocation?

Fixed LTI = FD + NPS + PPF + any other fixed long term investment

Doing research for a product / feature.

Mine is Fixed LTI (45%) > Mutual Funds (35%) > Stocks (20%)

Fixed LTI > Mutual Funds > Stocks
Fixed LTI > Stocks > Mutual Funds
Mutual Funds > Stocks > Fixed LTI
Mutual Funds > Fixed LTI > Stocks
Stocks > Fixed LTI > Mutual Funds
Stocks > Mutual Funds > Fixed LTI

If you are in a higher tax bracket like 9 lacs and above then FD doesn’t make sense. Also ELSS is better than PPF. Feel free to contact us for investment planning and asset allocation according to risk profile and tax slab. Happy to help!

Interesting. Why is FD an issue for people in higher tax brackets?

Because since you have already utilised all tax savings options in higher tax bracket. The interest you get from FD will not be fully paid, it will be taxable.

Please don't include ESOPs in stocks. They don't count unless you've exercised them and a liquidity event is nearing (acquisition, IPO, buyback).
