What's with faking the hustle?

Just curious. Startup folks are constantly spamming with their gyaans on building from scratch to flex their ‘cool’ hustle culture.

But I also feel some does it to make people feel like burning out is the ultimate thing that can happen to a software engineer. What’s with too much romanticising the 14-hour grind?

Then you have the MNC guys who immediately consider themselves as industry experts just because they could hide behind endless syncs and delegate work at their org.

I still think the real engineers in both places are busy enough in solving actual problems and inventing stuffs.

The rest are just trying to ride this fake productivity wave and would vanish the next day like Thanos' snap if organizations actually checked their code.
