Trending @Accenture; What's the salary range for L8 level in CF?

I don't understand at every level there will be starting slab and ending slab right, what if the resource at level 8 getting 20l per annum, if he gets promoted to l7, again it's going to be 10% hike , level 7 starting slab will not reach right? Someone pls explain
