Look at the salary of CXOs of such companies and ask them point blank why they need compensation in crores

Incompetence of leadership.

Greed is the only reason. Investors want more and more profits.

It’s desensitized now. Just BAU

Corporate greed. Companies have realised that people are a resource. People can be hired to build a product then fired and replaced by a cheaper workforce or a skeleton crew just to maintain the service. There are no repercussions anymore. Everyone is replaceable.
