Here are a few points one needs to understand before they make a fool of themselves,

1. If the JL5 is lateral, then the CTC will range between 15-20 lpa or slightly higher in some rare cases.
2. If the JL5 started his career with Infosys as a fresher and eventually became a JL5, then his salary would range between 8-10 lpa, maximum 12 lpa.
3. Also if the JL5 started his career with Infosys as a fresher and eventually became a JL5, then his salary would become close to his total years of exp. That is the principal these service based companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro follows.
4. And yes, JL5 s are really underpaid here, the fresher ones, the lateral ones are somehow doing.
