Whats the interview process like for a SRE at google or other faang orgs?

Google HRs be like: I will help to clear 6 out of 8 Rounds. Furthermore, you have to manage yourself.

I gave an interview in Google 2 years ago. They usually have 4 rounds of interviews plus one initial screening via phone call. I gave all 4 rounds of interviews where they check our different skills in each round. Like Technical, Managerial, Customer Focus, Communication etc.
