What's the future of robotics in India?

It’s the next big thing. Software is saturated.

So there is a BTech in robotics now!! Well, I don’t think it has much scope in India right now, besides just doing B.Tech would be meaningless. You would need to do M.Tech from premium University and only then you can hope for some good career in robotics. So well, go for it only if you are a die hard lover of it and you are willing to put extra time and efforts into it and you are sure you will be top of the class in exams etc.

We will become a consumer, there won't be much scope for jobs in that field. We are at least 30 years behind in that field. Even at the consumer level we are at least 20 years behind.

It's bright, go for it. Like @shpinq mentioned, do plan for masters as well.
