What's the future of DevOps Engineering?

I have interest in cloud. By seeing todays IT industry market conditions, is it okay to learn devops or need to pursue other technology? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank You!

Anything that you learn will add to your skillset but just clear the mist around devops, everyone get into devops thinking that there won't be any code writting burden which is totally a false impression to be honest, you need to write scripts and code for automation and patches which most of the time requires in dept understanding of system and process, in the meantime compare to devs in any organisation the opening for devops are less, it's just how it is, while I am not telling the opportunities for devops is less and it's plenty, just keep your expectations realistic, across the industry everyone expects you to handle everything single handedly in devops most of the time because now dedicated devops people are very few in an organisation, while I am not discouraging you to learn anything just keeping things realistic based on what I have seen. All the Best 🙌
