What's something you learnt from your manager/seniors, to NOT do in career?

Not compare others based on what you do or can do

There is nothing wrong in making mistakes. Make mistakes ,admit and learn from those mistakes.
Don't impose your opinion even if you are right. Try once or twice. If they mend, great, else leave there. 'If someone wants to drive through a pothole, then you can never avoid it'

To let the juniors explore things to crack a problem. To not make them wait for your approval everytime.

To not shout on people infront of the whole team. It impacts self confidence and self respect of the team member or anyone for that sake.
Scheduling meeting or telling them you need to speak with them without sharing the agenda or what it is about - everyone has anxiety when this happens. Don't be the reason someone faces negative emotions or negative experience due to just you alone. Be nice and kind to people.

Be rude to people who work for you. Being nice to people helps create a positive work environment.

One good advice was - dont be overvalued too early
