What's happening with Amazon employees?
I literally asked 20-30 people over linkedin for referral but none has responded yet. So much arrogance they all have, I can understand 1 or 2 or 3 but 30 people literally. I myself provide referrals in my current company whenever a person asks to respond to anyone who approaches me on LinkedIn but why they don't respond to me back.

They must be really nice people so they don't want to throw you into hell. It has one of the worst work culture.

🥲 actually one of the former employee said it's purely based on performance I believe, if someone able to do task on time , efficiently and obviously if team is great, then it's the best.

I was in one dumpster fire of a team, which I eventually left and I rejected good people (2 IITians and 1 NITian) so that they don’t end up in that team, get set up for failure and curse Amazon as a whole. However, at the time of rejection I ensured that my feedback clearly mentioned that not fit for this role but can be recycled within Amazon for xyz roles for abc teams. The HR recycled the candidate.
I slept well that night.
Someone once said “you don’t join amazon for its culture, you join amazon so that your resume could get shortlisted to other companies”👀

It is true bro amazon has huge brand man. The reputation it has its got great pull

True. I know people who are slogging at Amazon so that they can get into MS and Google.

why do you wanna join Amazon? Just because of faang tag? as much I know the culture is shit over there, hiring and firing is common, plus they are going to layoff around 10% of Indian employees within a year(heard some news recently). Better stay in fintech.

Yes actually my college is good but my current company is not due to this I don't get many calls from companies. That's why I want this tag, and yeah I know there are companies which are good at paying but I am looking only in NCR.

airtel payment bank is bad company?

Nothing to do with Amazon. Not everyone will refer strangers, in fact most won’t.

Not about strangers , but it hurts when the same college seniors won’t refer you. I was from a prestigious college and I always refer whoever approaches me until and unless they have all the relevant skill and experience, otherwise I just respond about where they are lacking.

No one likes anyone getting good job or higher salary package.i myself has seen when i asked the referral not responded. And there was opening at new org after me joining .this individual message me so politely and followed up so decently.i eventually helped him bcoz i just though about the ordeal about losing job and all.
Now is the best friend at org .And j am now reporting to him. My job js safe bcoz i referred him .

Haha nice.

LinkedIn is now shity shit shit...!

Indeed just posting the same chatgpt quotes.

Even i reached out to 3 of my friends on linkedin regarding referral they also didn't respond me.here your closed ones are not their for you then how we can expect it for strangers. Also i used to refer many people in my company but when i wanted a referral people showed their true face.

Right I actually find a nice person who wants to refer me like directly sharing my resume to HR but I have less experience. Infact once I also did the same share resume to HR directly.

Don’t come to Amazon

Any specific reason?

Why sir ? Aaj hi HR mail aaya hai :(
