What's happening to Bangalore?

Around 60 new employees joined my office and only 4 of them opted for Bangalore as the location, that too because of their spouses.

Most of them opted for Hyderabad and some for Mumbai and Noida.

Mumbai and Noida guys opted due to that being their hometown but almost all migrators opted for Hyderabad.

Key reasons cited for not opting Bangalore were:

  1. Poor infrastructure
  2. High cost of living
  3. Hostility and discrimination from the locals

Surprisingly, nobody cared about weather.

So while Bangalore got 4, hyderabad got 45 and remaining 11 in Mumbai and Noida.

Is this the end of Bangalore? Should karnataka focus on a different city now? Perhaps Bangalore is now beyond saturation?

I believe it's because of increasing hostile people here and high rent. Rest people don't care

Yes, I think that's a good move ..the recent rains should prove it

People make the place.
But more than that the cost of living seems a bit too much. Even in Gurugram, its almost same on the expense side.

Hyd will end up having similar Infrastructure/Cost issues. Atleast in the areas closer to companies.

Even then population of Bangalore is increasing every passing year… it’s good if any other city is able to share the burden with Bangalore.. also if u r in the same company for next 3 years… please check how many continue to stay there..I am sure out of those 45… many l move to Bangalore.
