13.5L - 75k will make your taxable income 12.75L on that 12.75L 0-4L - 0 4-8L - 20K 8-12L - 40K 12-12.75L - 11.25K Total = 71.25K include education cess ~ 3K you would be paying close to 74K according to last year's new tax regime you would be paying 98.8K

Ask employer to contribute to NPS feom your salary and bring your net salary below 12.75. NO need of paying tax.

If you are getting paid more than 12.75 and you are salaried individual then you would be taxed based on slabs. Its not that if you have 15 lpa ctc then only you have to pay tax only on 3 lakhs!
