One option is they can blacklist you from joining back in the future.

Really?? Is there any policy as such?

DizzyDumpling

Not policy per se. But they do have that power to provide such remarks. When they re hire in future this may come back

Managers can't do anything. One of my reportee stopped working in notice period. I tried to explain her that she needs to work till last date as we were a small team of 3 and deadlines were critical. She didn't work so I had to report back to the manager to extend the deadlines due to this reason. Manager pushed me to drop an email regarding same to all the senior managers and onshore leads. Funny thing is that when I dropped the email she stopped replying to me, and complained again to the same manager that my email demotivated her from working and she wants early release. At the end, everyone blamed me that I didn't highlight properly and that dropping an email is not a best idea. Mentally and emotionally I had to go through a lot as there was a Escalation call with all leads and me being a scapegoat. She didn't work and left as if nothing happened.

Mark you as PIP , which will block your re hiring later.

There is also option to extend notice period of deliverables are impacted.

Do you really want to burn bridges ?

They have already put me under pip that too when I have the maximum count of work which i have done. This is the reason I have put down papers. And now they are again playing with my patience.. Is there any way I can take release as I have requested to my skip level manager for not putting me on pip

BubblyPotato

If it was PIP request for a mutual release.

It's simple they don't want you here , you don't want to be here. So Win- Win.

He can extend your notice period, it happened with one of my colleague. They calculated his working hours and divided by 9, and said he served only 30 days of notice period extend it by 60 more days.

You can get an early release from company while being blacklisted at worst case. Beyond that they will not do anything. In the Exit letter they do not add anything. Additionally if you posess skill ehich they need they will remove your blacklist as well to hire you.
