$$$ obviously. No one joins a startup with the dreams of making any sort of impact to the society, its just their wallets they are concerned about. And that isn’t wrong.

Baby potato learnt that the hard way, impact making is all bs

Lack of processes. Dont need to fire 7 emails up the chain for simple accesses. More work less politics.
Flexibility in adopting new tech, more say in architectural decisions. Your work will have direct impact on the product, not some internal tooling log you fixed. Flexibility in work timings. These are just from the top of my head. My counter question is why in the world are you working for an MNC?

Tbh I get pretty good wlb and wfh/timings flexibility in my current MNC.

Would probably only make the move because of (much) higher pay or if I want to focus more on actually writing code without the painful amount of processes/meetings.

I left a startup for FAANG and then a FAANG for a startup. Motivation was always to learn more. In the past 1 year I feel like I've learnt more about running a business than my friends at IIMs and ISB 🤷‍♂️
