What will happen to people on bench with this bad new policy

My fellow friend, they implemented this just 2 weeks ago. So we need to wait till some more days to get the actual outcome of this policy. And FYI, cessation and termination has a different meaning. Just relax and do your best. Don't overthink please.

I am not overthinking I am stuck at bench because rmgs are not doing their job properly I gave them request ids for project but not getting calls

No termination is going to happen after straight 35 days they will give the chance to get allocated however if the bench days are really long then they might think of termination of the employees
