What steps can someone take to transition from a support-oriented role into a cloud or DevOps-focused position?
I’m currently working in a support-type role and want to move into cloud/DevOps. What skills and approach would help make this transition successfully?
First learn it theoritically get the certifications in next 2-3 months, once you get certifications try to get hands on exp in your current project only.Speak to your Manager, since you done this certifications you wanted to have exposure in cloud or devops.
If you are not getting this role then try to switch in other project or other company.
Keep in mind this is not short term process it will take sometime atleast 6 months, but don't give on hope. Also for some certification you might need to bare expenses.
Certifications will be only base to get the opportunity but not the only thing. You have to try from your side religiously. Best luck
