I recently joined a project as a fresher and it’s been just 7 days since my onboarding. During my shadow lock period, I was given resources on a new technology to learn and asked to complete a certification, which I did successfully.
However, after that, I haven’t received proper KT or complete access to the project instances. Because of this, I’m still in a learning phase and can only do small tasks that the team assigns me. I genuinely want to contribute, but I don’t yet have the environment or permissions to be fully productive.
Despite this, my senior manager gave me a negative feedback saying my utilization is 0, later edited to "minimal," and that I am not being productive in the project. I’m confused about what is expected from me at this stage. How can a fresher show utilization or productivity without being fully onboarded or given access?

Talk to the SM, ask for things be proactive and tell him what you need and once given, ask for a certain time period and say you'll be performing by then

How a SM can give such feedback to a fresher who joined 7 days ago?

Mail them which access you want for which work.. everytime.. then only they can understand what exactly is the problem..
