Roles get invented on a daily basis. Moreover its an opportunity for you to grow.

Yeah ,I have picked the tasks now assuming the same. But few times I'm getting stressed when I'm unable to point something or understand the flow.

Its totally ok to get stuck. Work life balance is more imp. Its already a difficult job and adding a cherry top will make it more complicated but we are engineers we always find a solution. Try to take breaks while working or learning something new which us boring and out of your domain. Take it in good spirit. No Knowledge get wasted beleive me.

Personally I feel it is ok to try out something out of your comfort zone, ask your manager to review your outcome with someone he thinks has past experience on it. After review start implementating the critical part of the solution .
