What Salary Should I Expect for ML Engineer Roles? (Google, FAANG & Beyond)

I’m currently earning a CTC of 10 LPA as a Senior ML Engineer at BGSW, working in Machine Learning and NLP with experience in deep learning, PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLFlow, feature engineering, and model deployment for real-world applications. I hold an M.Tech and have 3+ years of experience in AI and ML.

I’m exploring new opportunities, including ML Engineer and AI Research roles, and want to understand what salary range I should target. Given my current skill set and market trends, what would be a reasonable expectation?

If I get selected by Google or other FAANG companies, what kind of compensation should I expect? I’ve seen offers vary significantly, so how negotiable are these salaries? What strategies have worked best for those who have secured such roles?

Also, I know many companies anchor offers to the current CTC, sometimes undervaluing candidates. How have others successfully negotiated to get a fair market rate? What hike percentage should I aim for?
