What’s with insane jump in food apps prices!
Was in Blr after a month & wanted to order my favourite usual food. And wow- the prices listed are 15% higher - checked both Swiggy & Zomato and they have both hiked the prices. Called restaurant - no change in price in their menu. Are you guys seeing the same too? 🙄🥴🥴

Last Thursday we went cold turkey and stopped ordered. Zero.
My wife wants to eat healthy and I want to maintain a healthy bank account. But I also realised cooking and eating at home isn’t cheap either :)

I order daily, as I live in kinda remote area (Phase 2, EC) due to WFH. Average order rate has significantly increased.
In 2022, I used to pay 150-180 on an average
In 2023, I had to pay to 180-200 on an average
In 2024, now I am paying 220-250 on an average. There is almost no restaurant that can give me quality food.

I have started ordering food via ola (ondc). Very much affordable compared to swiggy/zomato

I say walk into the restaurants as much as you can. You can’t beat the taste of freshly made food. Microwaving and eating isn’t the same. Pizza which is one of the most ordered items and travels well is 3x better in-restaurant.

As a restaurant owner I have to pay 25% in Zomato and swiggy. In Same area, popular restaurant pays 12% in swiggy and Zomato

One day they also need to show profitability have to live with this
